Dislocation was a festival hosted by VSTM Records, that featured a blend of experimental music and multimedia performances from a variety of artists on the label’s rosta. It took place in Luton between August 14th and August 16th. The festival consisted of four main events, held at various venues. These events celebrated the best in improv, noise, ambient, techno, breakcore, glitch and neo folk with two evening performances at The George 2nd
pub (Thu, Fri) followed by a day of musical performance and film scores at The Old Shop.

Discloation Festival was an annual hootenanny, celebration, extravaganza of sometimes experimental, sometimes noisy, sometimes just plain odd music and film, which took place in 2009 over two days in a secret location in Central Luton, curated by The School of Unthink, and aiming to bring sounds and sights this grey little post-industrial town wouldn’t normally have space for.
Friday’s event focuses on film:
Two feature films, two hours of short film, two performances with live visuals, and a special closing selection by Cinema TransgressIons.
Saturday’s event devotes itself to music:
Thirteen acts from the town, from nearby, from far afield: twelve hours of blissful noise ringing out across the streets of the town centre.
